Membership of Bournemouth & Poole Argentine Tango Society

Bournemouth Tango Society is a membership organisation, but our activities and membership is open to all. Membership benefits include discounts, concession on
BPATS sponsored dances and activities include voting privileges at annual meetings.

We are Argentine Tango enthusiasts who volunteer our time and effort to running the society.
Membership is open to all; both absolute beginners and experience dancers are welcome.

Membership Benefits

Membership of Bournemouth & Poole Argentine Tango Society provides many benefits, including:

  • Discount at Society hosted workshops and social events.
  • Afflillated discounts (upto 30% discounts on shoes, clothing, accessories etc)
  • Voting rights on all aspects of the society' activities including committee, election,
    policy and development.
  • Free Practica hosted by BPATS
  • Full use of Society resources and library (Audio and Instructional CD/DVD)

Where does the money go?

The society is a non-profit making entity for the benefit of members. The society hosts
outstanding functions, your membership helps to sustain these functions. Members are
entitled to many discounts (Members must purchase tickets in advance). The money from
your membership also goes towards paying for the hire of venue, teachers, the society
insurance, Membership cards as well as equipments, signs, leaflets, flyers and other
essentials for the running of the society.

Volunteers

BPATS is run entirely by volunteers, who may serve on the Board of Directors, or contribute
their time for specific projects or events. If you wish to volunteer specific skills or to be added
to the BPATS volunteer list, e-mail volunteer.
